West Liberty-Salem beat Benjamin Logan, 25-13, 25-16, 23-25, 25-12, in non-league volleyball.

For the Tigers, Jamie Peterson had 27 kills, 9 total blocks, 6 ace serves and 9 digs; Kylie Gilroy had 32 assists and 3 ace serves; Regan Hormann had 5 kills; Olivia Ames had 4 ace serves, 7 digs and 17 serve receptions; Tory Cordell had 4 kills and Kaylee Harrison had 2 kills and 3 total blocks.

WL-S tops Triad in golf

WL-S defeated Triad, 177-195, in OHC boys golf

For the Tigers (2-4), Dillon Callicoat had a 37, Max Eggleston a 42, Tylar Jett a 49, Tyler Gardner a 49 and Michael Frederick a 52.

Triad drops tri-match

SPRINGFIELD – Triad lost to Northeastern and Mechanicsburg in a boys tri-match at National Links.

Triad (192) was led by Alec Ober with a 42, William McDavid had a 48, Caleb Young a 50, Creighton Bradley a 52 and Austin Bails a 55.

Northeastern had a 173 and Mechanicsburg a 175.

UHS falls in golf

Urbana lost to visiting Northwestern, 184-193, in CBC boys golf.

For UHS, Greg Coffey and Sklyer Reisinger each had a 47, Josh Blakely a 49 and Trenton Dunham a 50.

Urbana girls win

The Urbana girls golf team improved its season record to 5-2 with wins Tuesday against league opponent Greenon and Wednesday against Miami East. The Climbers won Tuesday by a score of 190-217 and Wednesday by a score of 204-207. Maggie Paulsen was medalist in both matches with scores of 43 and 46. Urbana plays again on Monday against Kenton Ridge.

Graham girls win tri-match

Graham defeated London and Mechanicsburg in a girls golf tri-match.

Graham had a 231, London had a 258 and Mechanicsburg had a 274.

Sheena Payne of Mechanicsburg was medalist with a 50.

For Graham, Mollie Greenlee shot a 51, Mallory Roberts shot a 52, Brandi Powell shot a 57 and Sidney Waibel had a 71.

For the Indians, Ashley Bumgardner had a 71, Dodie Howells a 77, Harley Ferguson a 76 and Bridget Sigmon an 85.

Tiger boys place fourth

The WL-S boys cross country team finished 4th out of 13 teams at the Ben Logan Early Bird Invitational.

Placers for the Tigers were Joey Adams 2nd 16:21.5; Ross Kelley 9th 17:15.0; Nick Williams 15th 17:36.2; Isaac Smith 36th 18:41.4; Andrew Landis 53rd 19:20.2; Charlie Williams 58th 19:26.7; Tyler Louden 60th 19:34.9; Jordan Lewis 61st 19:35.8; Konner Smith 62nd 19:36.4; Bryan Woods 69th 19:53.9; James Loffing 72nd 20:00.1; Zavier Esch 84th 20:18.6 and Kannon Stillings 86th 20:24.6.

Junior high volleyball

Graham’s 7th-graders lost to Bellefontaine, 25-11, 24-26, 25-11.
