Missing Urbana man found safe near Cleveland


A 90-year-old Urbana man reported missing on Friday was found safe and well at 1:20 a.m. Saturday near Cleveland.

Robert Carmazzi did not return home from a golf outing in Marysville on Friday afternoon, prompting Urbana police to alert other law enforcement agencies to be on alert.

Early Saturday morning, the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP) – Geauga County Post, was dispatched to assist a possible disabled motorist on Route 2 in Lake County. Lake County is located northeast of Cleveland. Upon OSP’s arrival, they discovered that the disabled motorist was Carmazzi. OSP reported that Carmazzi was in good health, but was taken to Tri-Point Medical Center in Painesville, Ohio for a precautionary check. Carmazzi was later released from the hospital and reunited with his family.
