Retired superintendent supports Arter

I strongly urge voters to elect Jim Arter to the Urbana School Board. I have known Jim for over 40 years. His mother Mary taught for me at Catawba School, his father Milt was a neighboring school superintendent, and I hired Jim to teach at South Vienna School in 1979. He retired from there, after teaching history for 35 years. I retired as Northeastern superintendent in 2003. Jim was always one of the most popular teachers with students, parents and staff. He works to understand issues, locally and nationally, and is dedicated to finding ways to make improvements. He has proven to be a fair, hard-working, and involved school board member for Urbana City (2006-2013).
