The Logan County Hi-Point Harriers and Reliant Mechanical, Inc. hosted the 7th annual Liberty Half Marathon on New Year’s morning. The 13.1 mile race started in West Liberty, traveled through Zanesfield and finished in East Liberty. Winning the race in a course record of 1:21:25.5 was Travis Glendenning of Cincinnati. Bellefontaine’s Terry Stolly was second in 1:25:08.6, and Dave Johnston of Xenia finished third in 1:25:42.3.

Beth Melton of Dublin was the first female finisher with a winning time of 1:32.55.9. Second place went to Christina Johnston of Xenia in 1:34:20.9, and Sharon Young of Indianapolis finished third in 1:45:24.6.
