The Urbana boys golf team lost to visiting London, 178-200.

For UHS, Greg Coffey had a 44, Josh Blakely a 48 and Luc Russell a 50.

WL-S loses in golf

BELLEFONTAINE – WL-S lost to Southeastern, 162-176, in OHC boys golf.

For the Tigers (0-1), Dillon Callicoat had a 36, Max Eggleston a 38, Michael Frederick a 48, Tylar Jett a 54 and Tyler Gardner a 58.

UHS wins in tennis

The Urbana girls tennis team won its first match against visiting Catholic Central, 2-1.

At first singles, Haylee Johns lost to Julia Britto, 7-5, 6-1

At second singles, Morgan Lattimer beat Laura Williams, 6-2, 6-2.

And at first doubles, Katie Asper and Bri Ussher defeated Sydney Tillman and Bethany Campbell, 6-0, 6-1.

“We have a small team this season after not having a team at all last year,” said UHS Coach Megan Michael. “The players have been working hard and improving. We are trying to bring back numbers for our program.”

Meet the Team Night

Urbana High School’s Meet the Team Night on Thursday, Aug. 20 will be for all fall sports teams.

It will be held in the UHS gymnasium if it rains.
