The Champaign County Republican Women’s Club (CCRWC) was chartered through the Ohio Federation of Republican Women (OFRW) by the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) on March 23, 2017.

“Our club has been exceptionally active in programming, projects and attending OFRW events,” said President Kathy DeWeese. “During our regular monthly June club meeting we had an OFRW state officer as our speaker.”

The OFRW Southwest District Vice-president Robin Dodge provided an update from the OFRW and NFRW. Dodge commented upon the positive growth being experienced by the re-chartered CCRWC and supplied information regarding various issues important to women with conservative values.

Bob Cawley was the featured speaker for the meeting, providing the group with a patriotic, information-filled, dynamic presentation on “The Miracles of the American Revolution.” Cawley noted there were surprises around every Revolutionary corner by the hand of God contributing to our glorious America.

Attorney Justin Griffis, from Sidney, was also a guest at the meeting. Griffis will be running for representative to serve the 85th Ohio House District.

The CCRWC members were interested in discussing specifics regarding staffing of the GOP tent during the upcoming Champaign County Fair, and making sure all the latest information would be made available. Those guests supporting the Republican Party are always welcome.

Re-chartered this year, the CCRWC strives to increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government, provide political education, foster loyalty to the Republican Party, work for Republican candidates, and support the principles, objectives and policies of the Republican National Committee. It is an avenue for uniting women as a collective force to positively impact the conservative direction of its community while advancing the power of women through political access and participation as they influence policy, develop candidates and elect the leaders of Champaign County, Ohio and the Nation. CCRW is a multi-cultural, multi-generational organization providing the structure and support for political activists to learn, engage, and flourish.
