The Champaign Aviation Museum will present lecture on the Doolittle Raid

The “Doolittle Raid” will be the subject of a free lecture at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 30, and at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Champaign Aviation Museum, located at Grimes Field. The lecture will describe the planning, training and execution of the raid over Japan by 16 B-25 bombers with 80 airmen on April 18, 1942, during WWII.

The lecture will give more meaning to the raid’s 75th anniversary at the U.S. Air Force Museum and the 16 B-25 bombers that will be staged at Grimes Field on April 15 and 16.
