Dr. Charles Wingfield, chairman of the Board of Directors of The Peoples Savings Bank, announced the election of Scott A. DeLong to the bank’s board of directors.

DeLong is president of Champaign Residential Services Inc., which provides services to the developmentally disabled in 28 counties in Ohio. Champaign Residential Services employs more than 1,100 people throughout the state. He joined CRSI in 1999.

DeLong grew up in eastern Champaign County and is a graduate of Triad High School. He is also a 1994 graduate of Urbana University, from which he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with majors in both Accounting and Human Resource Management.

DeLong is active in local community affairs as a member of the Mechanicsburg School Board, a board member of the Champaign Family YMCA, a Champaign County Fair Board member and a member of the Board of Directors of the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce.

Professionally, DeLong is a member of several statewide committees with the Department of Developmental Disabilities. He also serves on committees with the Ohio Provider Resource Association.

Wingfield said, “We are quite proud to have a person of Scott’s educational background and experience as the newest member of our board. His life-long knowledge of Urbana and Champaign County was also an important asset in his selection.”

DeLong and his wife Abbey, an 8th grade language arts teacher and varsity softball coach for the Mechanicsburg School District, are the parents of four children attending Mechanicsburg Schools.

The Peoples Savings Bank is a state-chartered, mutual, savings bank with two offices in Urbana and over $110 million in total assets. Delong joins Wingfield, Brice Kadel, Allen O. Kinzer, Harley A. Davidson and Gregory F. Stocksdale on the bank’s board.
