The Appreciation Luncheon will be from noon to 5 p.m. at the Champaign County Fairgrounds and will include not only lunch, but also a Kid Zone with free games, a silent auction from noon to 3 p.m., entertainment and a 50/50 raffle.

Logan returned to school Feb. 13 and continues to recover.

A #WLSStrong flier promoting the luncheon lists the following groups to be thanked for protecting students: WL-S staff and transportation personnel; West Liberty Police and Volunteer Fire departments; Macochee EMS; Champaign and Logan county sheriff’s offices; Ohio State Highway Patrol; FBI/BCI in London; and Stan Thoman and Thoman’s IGA in West Liberty.

Tickets for the March 11 event are $8 for a meal band and four Kid Zone Tickets.
