The Champaign County Board of Elections met Thursday and certified all issues and candidate petitions filed by the Aug. 5 deadline for the Nov. 3 general election.
Petitions for one of three people who filed with the Logan County Board of Elections for a seat on the West Liberty-Salem Board of Education were not certified. That would-be candidate is Trey Richardson. Petitions for WL-S board candidates Patrick Adams and Christopher Moell were certified.
Write-in candidates, whose names do not appear on ballots, have until 4 p.m. Aug. 24 to file with the county board of elections.
Polls will be open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3.
