David and Mary Sue (Brown) Conkel will celebrate their 50th anniversary Oct. 26. They were married on that date in 1968 in Greenfield by Rev. Robert Blaine.
Mr. Conkel served in the U.S. Army and was owner of Spec-T Electric for 40 years. He is now semi-retired. Mrs. Conkel is employed at Urbana Wal-Mart.
They are the parents of David Jr. (Amanda) Conkel, Kevin (Jennifer) Conkel and Michelle (Randy) Prater. They have 12 grandchildren.
