WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – West Liberty University knocked off Urbana University, 95-56, in MEC women’s basketball on Wednesday.

The Blue Knights trailed, 52-27, at the half.

For UU (0-5, 0-3), Sylvia Hudson had 27 points and Sa’Dera Johnson added 9.

The Blue Knights were out-rebounded, 62-35.

UU shot 30 percent from the field compared to 45 percent for West Liberty (5-3, 2-1).

The Blue Knights host Wheeling Jesuit on Saturday at 2 p.m.

UU men fall

WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. – The West Liberty men’s basketball team beat UU, 97-73, Wednesday night in MEC action.

UU trailed, 53-43, at the half.
