History was a recurring theme at the Mechanicsburg Summer Celebration on Saturday. The event honored John William Lambert, inventor of the first gas-powered car, and also featured a game between the Ohio Village Muffins and a locally-assembled “base ball” team of players wearing vintage uniforms.
