2 teens wounded outside Cleveland public high school

CLEVELAND (AP) — Police say two teenagers were shot and wounded in front of a Cleveland high school on the second day of classes.

Authorities couldn’t immediately provide an update Tuesday on the conditions of the two male victims.

A police spokesman says they are 15 and 18. They were shot shortly before 3 p.m. outside Martin Luther King Jr. High School on Cleveland’s east side.

A spokeswoman for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District told Cleveland.com that the teens weren’t students.

Witnesses told the website that the sound of gunfire about 20 minutes after school let out sent some students running. Police didn’t immediately offer any details about the source of the gunshots.

Classes in the district had resumed Monday.
