NAPOLEON, Ohio (AP) — A rural Ohio intersection where a van carrying a high school water polo team hit a semitrailer on Friday was the site of another deadly accident just days earlier.
Authorities in Henry County say the driver of the team van failed to yield at the intersection, killing her 19-year-old daughter who was a former member of the team.
The van’s driver along with her two teen daughters and two other girls from Worthington Kilbourne High School in suburban Columbus suffered serious injuries.
The crash happened near Napoleon, southeast of Toledo.
On Monday, a delivery truck driver was killed at the same intersection after a pick-up truck driver stopped at the stop sign and then pulled out into the other vehicle’s path.
