The Nation’s Weather for Wednesday, April 26, 2017

A slow-moving rainstorm will finally prepare to leave the

Atlantic coast today, but not before bringing a thorough

soaking to much of New England and parts of New Jersey and

New York state. Sunshine will bounce back and boost

temperatures in the Southeast, Ohio Valley and central

Appalachians. Meanwhile, a zone of showers and thunderstorms

will extend from eastern and northern Texas to the Lower

Peninsula of Michigan. Some of the storms over the middle

and lower Mississippi Valley can be severe. Snow will fall

on the northern edge across northern Minnesota and part of

the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. More rain and mountain snow

will fall from the northern Rockies to the coastal

Northwest. Dry weather and sunshine will prevail farther

south in the West.
