Tigers place at state indoor track tourney

AKRON – The West Liberty-Salem indoor track and field program had a banner day at the OATCCC D-II/D-III State Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at the University of Akron’s Stile Field House.

Senior Joey Adams placed 8th and earned All-Ohio honors in the 1,600 meter run with a time of 4:31.59.

The WL-S girls’ 4×800 relay team of Reghan Bieleski, Caylee Karg, Leah Cole and Katie Hartsel set a school indoor record of 10:19.42, placing 9th overall. The 4×400 relay team of Morgan Freyhof, Karg, Cole and Bieleski also set a school indoor record, placing 12th in 4:21.24.

The WL-S girls kick off the outdoor track and field season March 26 at the Versailles Lady Tiger Classique.
