West Liberty-Salem’s Jamie Peterson has been named first-team All-Southwest District in Division III girls basketball.

In addition, WL-S’s Dennis McIntosh was named the district coach of the year after leading the Tigers (23-4) to a regional semifinal.

Peterson, a 6-foot-4 senior, averaged 15.4 points per game this season.

“Just from how (Jamie’s) grown from her freshman year to now has just been unbelievable,” said McIntosh, who recently collected his 300th career win. “I wasn’t even sure how great of a basketball player she was going to be, but she really put a lot of time into it. Even with her volleyball, she put time into her basketball and made herself better.”

Triad senior Jenna Ober was named third team All-District in Division III after averaging 19.4 points per game and WL-S’s Lily Yoder was named honorable mention All-District.

In Division II, Urbana’s Katy Curnutte was named honorable mention All-District.

In boys basketball, Triad senior Ryan Boyd was named second-team All-District in Division IV after averaging 18.5 points per game.

Boyd finished his prep career second on Triad’s all-time scoring list.

In Division II, Urbana senior Jordan Underwood was named third-team All-District after averaging 14.6 points per game.

Underwood will lead the Hillclimbers into a district final game against Cincinnati Aiken on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the University of Dayton Arena.

Also in Division II, Graham’s Andrew Ford was named honorable mention All-District.

In Division III, WL-S junior Kannon Stillings was named third-team All-District after averaging 15.8 points per game.

Stillings’ teammate, Austin Miller, was named honorable mention All-District.
