Racing at Shady Bowl rained out

DeGRAFF – Shady Bowl Speedway officials were forced to cancel the scheduled racing Saturday as a result of overnight rains and the forecast of more during the day. The first leg of the Ohio 300, the CRA Street Stocks and the VORES compacts were set to do battle. The Ohio 300 race has been reset for May 14. The Vores and CRA are working with promoter Rick Young to set up a return date.

This Saturday will see race number one of the Compact Clash. The Harrod Septic Solutions compacts will run two races at Shady Bowl on the pavement and two races at Raceway 35 which is a dirt oval. There will be an overall points champion just for those four events, The Wooten Automotive and Towing Modifieds, The Wooten Automotive Towing of Urbana Street Stocks and the Bullet Liners of Dayton Thunder cars will join the compacts.

It will be Nurses, DARF and HARF Night with these groups admitted at a discount price. Club members must have a current membership card – note this is for grandstands only.

Racing will begin on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
