The Urbana University Department of Athletics will have a “White Out” crowd for the Saturday, Feb. 27 regular-season basketball finale against Notre Dame College.

For the event, UU wants fans to wear white attire at the Grimes Center for games scheduled at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. The Athletics Department will also pass out free thunderstix to the first 200 UU fans to walk through the gate. Other prizes and giveaways will be available.

Additionally, the Blue Knight basketball teams will honor their seniors prior to each game, as well as basketball alumni during halftime of the men’s contest.

Only two games remain on the regular-season slate. Both UU teams will travel to West Liberty (W. Va.) for a weeknight matchup on Thursday before returning home Saturday to face their in-state rivals.

The women’s squad, which is hoping to cement itself as the fifth seed in next week’s MEC postseason championship, is virtually locked in for hosting a first-round tournament game on Tuesday, March 1. Tickets for the ensuing rounds hosted in Charleston, W. Va., are on sale now on Ticketmaster.com and searching “Mountain East Conference,” or visit MountainEast.org for more information.
