WL-S girls shine at OHC track preview meet

JAMESTOWN – Several area teams competed in the OHC preview track and field competition on Monday.

West Liberty-Salem won the girls’ side with 195 points, while Mechanicsburg was 11th. Triad did not register a team score.

Mechanicsburg was 5th on the boys’ side with 56.5 points, well off Cedarville’s pace of 108. West Liberty-Salem was 9th with 41.5 and Triad was 11th with 30.

Winning events for the Tigers were the 4×800 relay team of Grace Adams, Madison Bahan, Megan Adams and Katelyn Stapleton; the 4×200 relay team of Kaylee LeVan, Emily Hollar, Alex Burton and Grace Estes; Megan Adams (1,600); the 4×100 relay team of LeVan, Lydia Moell, Megan Dillon and Alex Burton; Moell (300 hurdles); Madison Bahan (800); Estes (200); Grace Adams (3200); the 4×400 relay team of Megan Adams, Emily Hollar, Gabby Hollar and Grace Estes and Moell (pole vault).

Second place went to Kaylee LeVan (100, long jump), Grace Adams (1,600), Emily Hollar (800) and Megan Dillon (pole vault).

Third was earned by Gabby Hollar (400), Alex Burton (200), Maria Henderson (3,200) and Lydia Moell (long jump).

Mechanicsburg’s 4×100 relay team of Lani Wilhelm, Aimee Asper, Gloria Terry and Kameron Loveless was third.

For the boys, Mechanicsburg’s 4×100 relay team of Joey Mascadri, Keith Bebout, Frank Magyar and Chayse Propst won. Propst also won the 100 dash.

Mechanicsburg’s Josh Spinner (1,600) and Frank Magyar (pole vault) were second.

West Liberty-Salem’s Konner Smith (pole vault) won, Ethan Cole (300 hurdles) was second and Trenton Douthwaite (pole vault) was third. Michael Farquharson tied for third in the shot put.

Triad’s Riley Louck (shot put) was third.
