BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Urbana University’s Madison Davis, Courtney Niesen, Anna Davis and Hannah Delor have earned honors from the Mountain East Conference as the league announced its all-conference teams on Wednesday.

Madison Davis was named to the first team and Niesen to the second team. Anna Davis and Delor were both named honorable mention, and Delor was also named to the MEC All-Freshman Team.

Wheeling Jesuit’s Haley Kramer, Audrey Francis and Christy Benner, along with West Virginia State’s Gabrielle Bullock, have earned the individual awards.

Benner is the MEC Coach of the Year after leading WJU to a 31-3 overall record.

The Cardinals again went unbeaten in league play for the sixth straight year. Wheeling Jesuit has been nationally ranked every week this season, rising as high as No. 13 this week. Wheeling Jesuit is the host and top seed for this week’s MEC Tournament, and is currently ranked second in the most recent NCAA Atlantic Region rankings.

In addition to the individual awards, the MEC also released its all-conference teams. Wheeling Jesuit had four first-team selections. Charleston, Notre Dame, Shepherd, Urbana U. and West Liberty each had one first-team selection.

The All-MEC teams are selected by a vote of the league’s coaches.

Sixth-seeded UU (21-11) will play third-seeded Charleston today at noon in the MEC tournament at Wheeling Jesuit.
