Underwood leads Urbana to victory over NW

Jordan Underwood had a game-high 26 points as Urbana defeated visiting Northwestern, 68-50, in CBC/MRD boys basketball on Friday.

For the Hillclimbers (11-5, 7-1), Alex Lohnes had 12 points and Levi Boettcher added 10.

Urbana won the jayvee game as Lohnes had 15 points.

Graham boys win

ST. PARIS – Graham defeated Ben Logan, 52-46, in CBC/MRD boys basketball on Friday.

The Falcons are now 5-12 overall and 3-5 in the MRD.

Peterson paces Tigers

CEDARVILLE – In WL-S’s 44-36 loss to Cedarville on Thursday in girls basketball, Gabby Hollar and Jamie Peterson each scored 11 points and Peterson had 17 rebounds.

WL-S won the javvee game, 28-23. Isabella Clark had 6 points for the Tigers.

M’burg girls bowling wins

The Mechanicburg girls bowling team defeated London 2,698-1,704.

For the Indians, Ally Hosier had a 234-239/473 series, Michaela Edwards had a 162-213/375 and Lauren Mayberry had a 190-160/350. Katie Bush added a 213 game, Jenna Alspaugh had a 208 and Miranda Keene rolled a 154.

Junior high basketball

Triad’s 7th grade girls lost to Mechanicsburg, 41-37, in the tournament. For Triad (11-5), Cati LeVan had 13 points and Frani LeVan had 10. Mechanicsburg stats were not reported.

The WL-S boys 8th grade team defeated Springfield Catholic Central, 56-33. The Tigers were led by Ethan Cole with 14 points and Trevor Woodruff with 10.
