The Ohio National Women’s Wrestling Team competed at the Cadet and Junior Fargo National Championships last week, with 16 girls wrestling.

The team saw two champions, including St. Paris resident Olivia Shore, who won the 100-pound Cadet division while only giving up a single point during the tournament, and Leilah Castro, who won the 117-pound Cadet division. The squad also finished with three second-place finishers and one seventh-place finisher for a total of six All-Americans. Taryn Martin (94 – Cadet), Mckayla Campbell (106 – Junior) and Autumn Gordon (112 – Junior) were second and Cassandra Smith (138 – Cadet) was seventh.

“We also earned All-American status as a team by placing 8th out of 23 teams in duals,” said Tracie Shore, Olivia’s mother. “Amazing history-making week for Ohio women’s wrestling.”
