DeGRAFF – If you ask Shady Bowl Speedway promoter Rick Young what is his favorite movie is, it sure won’t be “Rainman.”

Saturday saw another rainout, the fifth of the season as only three races have been held. The week’s program was to be a special event for employees of Emerson. The Emerson Employee Appreciation event has been rescheduled for June 10.

Memorial Day weekend will see four nights of stock car racing at its best along with added treats for fans and drivers.

The Friday night program will feature practice for all classes. It will also feature round one of the corn hole contest.

Saturday will include the second annual Hot Rods, Bikes and Babes car show. Round two of the corn hole contest is also part of the program. The late models, street stocks, pure stocks, compacts and spectator racing will also be scheduled. Saturday’s action will end with a party in the parking lot. SRS Racing from Spring Hills will feature music and a good time. Sunday will see a Barbecue Contest and The Fourth-N-Bound band will take to the stage to provide live music for fans and drivers.

The last chance race for Monday’s 100-lapper will also be run. In addition the late models, street stocks, pure stocks, compacts, super compacts and spectator cars will also slug it out.
