Violent storms postpone games

Strong storms forced the postponement of Friday’s district final softball games, as heavy rain soaked playing fields across the area, including the diamond at the old Lebanon Junior High School (pictured), where West Liberty-Salem was scheduled to face off with Reading. The Tigers are slated to try again at noon today, while Mechanicsburg is going to try to get in its contest with Franklin Monroe at Piqua at 10 a.m. today.
