Urbana senior Kalen Howell Jr signed to play basketball at Muskingum University next year. He decided to dedicate himself to the game of basketball at an early age, playing AAU basketball for Huntsman Select. He was a member of two CBC Championship Teams and two OHSAA Southwest District Sectional Championship teams. He was selected as 2nd team CBC and was chosen to play in the District Nine All star game his senior year. He was coached by Urbana High School coach Jeremy Dixon and by Huntsman Select coaches, Tray Huntsman and Jaye Randolph. He will graduate from Urbana High School with a 2.92 GPA and plans to study Business Management and Sports Administration at Muskingum.

UHS senior Riley Emmons has committed to Ashland University to play basketball. He lettered at UHS the last two years, was a member of two CBC Championship Teams and OHSAA Southwest district Sectional Championship teams, coached by Jeremy Dixon. He not only played for Urbana Schools, but played AAU Basketball for the last 6 years. His AAU team, Huntsman Select, coached by Jaye Randolph and Tray Huntsman, made it to play at Nationals in Orlando, FL last summer. He also ran Cross Country his sophomore and junior years, is a member of track this year, has played in Fall Basketball Leagues all 4 years, and has helped coach younger basketball players. He will graduate from UHS on May 27 and will be studying Business Administration with a minor in Sports Management at Ashland University.
