The Cincinnati Bengals had a pretty good draft last week, acquiring 11 players from the collegiate ranks.

Most talked about, of course, is Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon, a second round pick.

Mixon got in a heap of trouble at Oklahoma for punching a female OU student in the face.

Many thought Mixon’s ultimate punishment was too soft, especially after video of the brutal punch was released during his senior season.

The Bengals are famous for bringing in talented “problem” players – i.e., Vontaze Burfict – because they are cheaper.

Mixon was definitely a first-round talent, so the Bengals get a “steal” by having to pay him only second-round money.

Several domestic violence prevention organizations are already talking about organizing protests and boycotts at Bengals’ games this season, which only serves the franchise right by picking Mixon.

Cincy’s top pick, Washington wide receiver John Ross, is a burner who could be the complement A.J. Green needs on the other side of the field.

Kansas State’s Jordan Willis and Auburn’s Carl Lawson should compete right away for the starting right defensive end slot since Michael Johnson was terrible there last season with only 3.5 sacks.

In Cleveland, the Browns actually had a good draft, too.

Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett was the consensus best overall player in the draft, and Michigan safety Jabrill Peppers might have been a steal at the 25th overall pick.

Taking Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer 52nd overall might be a stretch since I was never really impressed with him as a college quarterback.

So the Browns still don’t have a legitimate franchise quarterback, which doesn’t bode well for the 2017 season.
