Urbana High School senior Riley Emmons has committed to Ashland University to play basketball.

Emmons lettered at UHS the last two years, was a member of two CBC championship teams and Southwest District sectional championship teams, coached by Jeremy Dixon. Emmons not only played for Urbana Schools, he also played AAU Basketball for the last 6 years.

Emmons’ AAU team, Huntsman Select, coached by Jaye Randolph and Tray Huntsman, made it to play at Nationals in Orlando, Fla., last summer.

Emmons also ran cross country his sophomore and junior years, is a member of track this year and has played in fall basketball leagues all 4 years. He has also helped coach younger basketball players.

Emmons will graduate from UHS on May 27 and will be studying Business Administration with a minor in Sports Management at Ashland University.
