Urbana prevails in tennis

Urbana best Cedarville, 3-2, in non-league boys tennis on Monday.

At first singles, Cole Headlee lost to Ben Heath, 6-0, 6-0.

At second singles, Trevor Johnson lost to Colton Lewis, 6-1, 6-0.

At third singles, Hudson Stouffer beat Nick Shaw, 6-4, 6-0.

At first doubles, Andrew Fansler and Bailey Ullah beat Timothy Kohl and Bryan Crossman, 6-4, 6-3.

And at second doubles, Alex Swank and Ethan Burnside beat Ana Kitsisger and Ethan Leisure, 6-0, 6-3.

Urbana (10-9) hosts Shawnee today.

Graham softball loses

LEWISTOWN – Graham fell to Indian Lake, 6-2, in CBC softball on Monday.

Madison Bryant was 2-for-3 while Skylar Doroda was 1-for-2 for the Falcons.

The Falcons also had a game Friday, in which they defeated Lehman Catholic, 14-0.

In that contest, Ashton Curnutte was 3-for-3, Doroda was 2-for-4, Alli Neeld was 2-for-4 and Madi VanScoy was 2-for-2.

Graham (14-5) hosts Indian Lake today.

Graham baseball falls

LEWISTOWN – Indian Lake downed Graham, 5-1, in CBC baseball on Monday.

For the Falcons, Mark Ward took the loss and Chasen Poole had an RBI.

Urbana baseball loses

BELLEFONTAINE – Bellefontaine defeated Urbana, 3-2, in CBC baseball on Monday.

Seth Mangus was 1-for-3 with a solo home run and Caleb Peterson was 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Hillclimbers (10-11).

Urbana will host the Chieftains today.

WL-S falls in baseball

WL-S fell to Versailles, 6-5, in non-league baseball action on Monday. Trevor Woodruff took the loss.

Levi Moell was 2-for-4 for the Tigers.

The Tigers (12-8) play at #1 tournament seed Anna on Tuesday.

WL-S softball prevails

WL-S defeated Minster, 5-2, in non-league softball on Monday. Kelsey Day was the winning pitcher.

For the Tigers, Kenedie Cox was 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI, Day was 2-for-3 with a homer and 2 RBI and Arrah Sandy was 2-for-2 with a double.

The OHC North champion Tigers (16-5, 11-2) host Riverside on Tuesday.

Triad alumni banquet

The annual Triad Alumni Banquet will be held on Saturday, June 10 in the high school auditeria. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by a short business meeting. The classes of 2017, 1992 and 1967, as well as the oldest lady and gentleman graduates present, will be honored. Various door prizes will also be awarded this year. Due to lack of volunteers and to cover the cost of full service catering, the price of the meal is $20 per person.
