Urbana boys tennis team falls to Tecumseh, 3-2

The Urbana boys tennis team lost to Tecumseh, 3-2, in CBC action.

At first singles, Andrew Fansler lost to Mitchell Foland, 6-1, 6-0.

At second singles, Bailey Ullah lost to Christian Hunt, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3.

At third singles, Abe Angles beat Yohan Boxcer, 7-5, 6-4.

At first doubles, Nick Pettit and Alex Swank lost to Scott Sinkhorn and Jake Lewis, 6-2, 6-1.

And at second doubles, Cole Headlee and Hudson Stouffer beat John Sirion and Zack Williamson, 6-3, 6-1.

In jayvee singles, Ethan Burnside beat Travis Boggs, 8-2.

Urbana (1-2) hosts Greenon on Monday.

Triad baseball wins

Triad defeated Fairbanks, 8-5, in OHC baseball on Thursday.

For the Cardinals, Briley Harlan went 3-for-4, Trevor Instine was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, Jacob Greve was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and Tommy Tossey was 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Triad moves to 2-0 with the win.

JH track

Mechanicsburg junior high track competed at South Vienna on Thursday. The boys were second and the girls were fifth.

Winning events for the boys were Jake Thiel (shot), Chayse Propst (100, 200) and Josh Spinner (1,600, 800).
