BEAVERCREEK, Ohio – Junior Cody Lyons finished tied for fifth place at 4-over par 148 to lead Urbana University men’s golf at the Cedarville Invitational Monday and Tuesday. The Blue Knights finished sixth at the two-round tournament, which was hosted at Country Club of the North in Beavercreek with an overall team score of 653 (327-326).
In Monday’s opening round, Lyons fired a career-low 73 to finish 1-over par while standing fifth on the player board. He then kept pace on the final day with a steady 75 to remain tied for fifth overall.
Rounding out the lineup for UU were Rodney Howell Jr. (+21, 23rd), Austin Wells (+23, 26th), T.J. Fink (+30, 30th) and Andrew Tincher (+40, 33rd). Kyle Glaser (+29, 29th) also competed as an individual for the Blue and Grey.
Cedarville claimed both the team and individual titles, led by low-medalist Taylor Holt who shot 3-under par 141.
