TIPP CITY – Tipp knocked off Urbana, 67-31, in CBC non-divisional girls basketball on Wednesday.

The Hillclimbers (7-11) play at Northwestern on Saturday.

Mechanicsburg boys fall

MECHANICSBURG – Fairlawn beat Mechanicsburg, 62-50, in non-league boys basketball on Wednesday.

Fairlawn led, 17-9, at the end of the first quarter and 31-25 at the half. The visitors led,. 47-35, after three periods.

For the Indians (3-9), Bobby Welch had 13 points and Chris Taylor added 10.

Fairlawn won the jayvee game, 50-29. Billy Muterspaw had 11 points for M’burg.

Cordell goes unbeaten

The West Liberty-Salem wrestling team competed at Springfield Catholic Central in an OHC tri-match.

Josh Cordell was undefeated with two pins and Tanner Workman also recorded a pin.

The Tigers wrestle on Saturday in the Jonathan Alder Invitational beginning at 10 a.m.

Junior high basketball

The Graham 7th grade girls beat Ben Logan, 31-10. For Graham, Lexi King had 14 points and Ariel Cupps added 10.
