WL-S boys, Triad girls earn victories

WEST LIBERTY – Kannon Stillings scored a game-high 17 points as WL-S beat Riverside, 60-38, in non-league boys basketball on Tuesday.

WL-S trailed, 14-13, at the end of the first quarter but rallied to take a 32-23 lead at the half.

The Tigers led, 51-33, after three periods.

For WL-S (13-2), Austin Miller had 12 points.

The Tigers won the jayvee game, 43-32. Trevor Burden had 13 points and Braden Miller added 11 for WL-S.

Riverside won the 9th grade game, 36-32. Oliver McGuire had 9 points and Dominic Blair had 8 for WL-S.

Triad girls win

Triad topped Ridgemont, 63-48, in non-league girls basketball on Tuesday.

For the Cardinals (4-12), Jenna Ober had a game-high 28 points and Lydia Walls added 15.

Ben Logan beat Triad, 65-41, in non-league girls basketball on Monday.

The Cardinals trailed, 41-17, at the half.

For Triad, Ober had 18 points.

Ben Logan won the jayvee game, 39-27. Shelby Sheets had 12 points for Triad.

Graham boys fall

NEW CARLISLE – Tecumseh downed Graham, 72-42, in CBC non-divisional boys basketball on Tuesday.

The Falcons are now 4-10 overall.

Junior high basketball

The WL-S 8th grade boys defeated South Vienna, 49-26. The Tigers were led by Ethan Cole with 15 points.

The Triad 7th grade girls beat Cedarville, 22-17. For Triad (10-3), Frani LeVan had 10 points and Baylie Plank had 7.

Triad’s 8th graders lost, 39-19. For Triad, Olivia Butz and Sidney Louck each had 6 points.

The Triad 7th grade boys lost to Cedarville, 29-25. Batai Lease had 10 points for Triad.

The Triad 8th graders won, 39-30. Andrew O’Neil had 12 points and Dylan Nott had 10 for Triad.
