MECHANICSBURG – Mikayla Dodane had a game-high 18 points as Mechanicsburg beat Fairlawn, 49-21, in non-league girls basketball on Thursday.
The Indians led, 13-8, at the end of the first quarter and 20-9 at the half.
Mechanicsburg led 41-13 after three quarters.
For the Indians, Kasey Schipfer had 15 points and Morgan Hamby added 8 rebounds.
Mechanicsburg won the jayvee game, 49-12. Franny King had 12 points for the Indians.
Mechanicsburg will play either Lehman or Russia in the Division IV sectional at Sidney on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Triad girls fall
PITTSBURG – Second-seeded Versailles beat Triad, 86-16, in the Division III girls basketball sectional on Thursday.

Urbana High School softball pitcher Hannah Alvoid has signed a letter of intent to attend Sinclair Community College in Dayton.
