ST. PARIS – Graham advanced to state in the Division II team duals wrestling tournament Wednesday night by beating Wapakoneta, 56-21, and Valley View, 69-6, in the Region 16 semifinal and final.

Mechanicsburg advances to state

MECHANICSBURG – Mechanicsburg advanced to state in the Division III team duals wrestling competition on Wednesday. The Indians defeated Miami East and Versailles to win the regional.

First, Mechanicsburg downed Miami East, 53-18.

Tanner Smith (145), Colt Yinger (152), Corey Bogan (160), Kaleb Romero (170) and Dylan Hartley (285) each earned a win by pin. Dakota Lay (106) and Alex Walton (195) each added six points via a forfeit victory.

Ben Stroud (120), Dustin Knapp (182) and Dylan Hartman (220) each won by decision.

Against Versailles, the Indians emerged victorious, 42-25.

Colt Yinger (152) and Dylan Hartley (285) each won by pin. Dylan Hartman got six points at the 220 class when Isaac Grilliot was disqualified and Kaleb Romero (170) earned a win by forfeit.

Tanner Smith (145) won an 11-3 major decision, while Ben Stroud (120), Tyler Wetzel (126), Alex Rhine (132) and Corey Bogan (160) each won by decision.
