Underwood leads Urbana over Greenon

ENON – Jace Underwood scored a game-high 28 points as Urbana blasted Greenon, 100-24, in CBC non-divisional boys basketball Tuesday night.

For the Hillclimbers (10-6), Levi Boettcher had 18 points and Riley Emmons added 14.

Urbana won the jayvee game, 53-52. For UHS, Adam Gaver had 18 points, Reid Taylor had 11 and Grant Hower added 10.

Greenon won the 9th grade game, 51-44. For UHS, Ethan Headlee had 15 points and Austin Rooney added 14.

Urbana plays at Bellefontaine Friday night.

WL-S girls top BL

WEST LIBERTY – Lily Yoder poured in 27 points and grabbed 7 rebounds as WL-S downed Ben Logan, 82-45, in non-league girls basketball on Tuesday.

The Tigers (17-1) led, 38-21, at the half.

WL-S won the jayvee game, 42-22. Caidryn Wade had 10 points for the Tigers.

UHS splits in bowling

Urbana beat Shawnee, 2,770-2,512, in CBC boys bowling.

For UHS (16-1), Luc Russell had a 245-191, Andru Troyer a 215-218, Taylor Armstrong a 179-204, Brayden Fain a 227 and Justin Brown a 200.

Shawnee won the girls match, 2,002-1,541.

For UHS (6-9), Kayla Evans had a 157-193, Lily Cooksey a 142 and Lillian Daniels a 133.

Schmucker signs with ODU

WL-S senior defensive tackle Trent Schmucker will sign his official letter of intent to play football at Ohio Dominican in the fall, majoring in business. The ceremony will be held in the West Liberty-Salem High School Media Center today at 12:05 p.m.

Graham wins in bowling

Graham defeated WL-S, 2,024-2,013, in non-league girls bowling.

For the Tigers, Erica McCall had a 193-168 361 series, Hailee Clifford a 170-137 307 series, Lauren Hostetler a 147 game, Rachel Larson a 117 game, Sarah Daulton a 112 game, Ashlyn Parks a 112 game and Jillian Kirkham a 110 game.

Graham results were not reported.

Tiger boys fall

Northeastern defeated WL-S, 2,259-1,939, in OHC boys bowling.

For the Tigers, Logan Tompkins had a 149, Isaac Riblet a 169, Hunter Smith a 151, Trevino Marchal a 173 and Mike Price a 148.

JH basketball

WL-S defeated Southeastern, 39-16, to advance to the next round of the OHC tournament.

Graham defeated Northwestern, 27-13, in 8th grade girls basketball. Lexi King had 13 points for GJHS.

The WL-S 7th grade boys lost to Fairbanks, 30-25. Isaac Brown led the Tigers with 8 points while Landon Stewart added 7.

The WL-S 8th grade boys lost to Fairbanks, 44-38. The Tigers were led by Nick Burden with 12 points and Lance Baldwin with 8.

Indian Lake beat Urbana, 21-19, in 8th grade girls basketball. For UJHS, Sam Rooney scored 12 points.

Urbana won the 7th grade girls game, 38-14. For UJHS, Marah Donahoe scored 11 points and Claire Shelpman and Maleah Murphy both had 8.
