Greenon upends Graham in girls basketball

Greenon defeated Graham, 61-34, in CBC girls basketball.

For the Falcons, Kari Sollenberger had 11 points and Kayla Tullis added 9.

Greenon won the jayvee game, 34-32. For the Falcons, Katey Nash had 12 points and Madi Vanscoy added 9.

WL-S girls win

Lily Yoder had 14 points as WL-S defeated winless Madison Plains, 52-17, in girls basketball on Thursday.

The Tigers led, 18-2, at the end of the first quarter and 34-4 at the half.

Madison Plains had 25 turnovers compared to 12 for WL-S (10-1).

The Tigers won the jayvee game, 33-9. Camrin Rice had 11 points for the Tigers.

Tigers fall in bowling

Southeastern defeated West Liberty-Salem in boys bowling on Thursday, 2,309-2,013.

Mike Price led the Tigers with a 204. Logan Thompkins had a 166 and Hunter Smith and Treven Marchal each had a 160. Isaac Riblet added a 157.

Southeastern won the girls match, 2.034-1,946.

For the Tigers, Erica McCall had a 192-182 374 series, Ashlyn Parks a 148-164 312 series, Jillian Kirkham a 164 game, Lauren Hostetler a 152-137 289 series and Rachel Larson a 112-132 244 series.

JH basketball

Urbana beat Mechanicsburg, 33-22, in 7th grade boys basketball. For Urbana (3-5), Max Keely had 11 points and Michael Peterson had 10.

Mechanicsburg won the 8th grade game, 42-31. Nine different players scored for Urbana (0-8).

Mechanicsburg did not report statistics.

Miami East beat Graham, 28-13, in 8th grade girls basketball. Lexi King had 9 points for GJHS.

The WL-S 7th grade girls basketball team beat Indian Lake, 55-8. For the Tigers (6-0), Emily Hollar had 12 points and 4 assists, Megan Adams had 10 points, Hallie Smith had 8 points and 5 rebounds, Grace Winters had 8 points, 4 steals and 3 assists and Aubrey Williams had 7 points and 7 rebounds.

The WL-S 8th grade girls beat Madison Plains, 34-10. For the Tigers, Selena Weaver led the way with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Gracie Estes chipped in 9 points.
