NORTH LEWISBURG – Triad’s Hadley LeVan was fouled shooting a 3 with 1.2 seconds to go and hit all three free throws from the line to seal a 55-52 win over Springfield Catholic Central Friday night in OHC boys basketball.
LeVan had a team-high 18 points and Thomas O’Neal added 14 for the Cardinals (3-2, 1-1).
SCC is now 4-1, 1-1.
Central won the jayvee game, 39-31. Andrew O’Neal had 9 points and Dillon Nott added 8 for Triad.
The Cardinals play at Mechanicsburg next Friday night.
Fairbanks tops Indians
MECHANICSBURG – Fairbanks defeated Mechanicsburg, 81-44, in boys basketball action Friday night.
The Panthers led, 16-11, at the end of the first quarter and 33-19 at the half.
Fairbanks out-scored the Indians, 29-10, in the third period.
Chris Taylor paced Mechanicsburg with 17 points and Joey Mascadri added 10. Mack Delong had 7 rebounds.
The Indians were out-rebounded, 48-27.
Fairbanks won the jayvee game, 62-12. Colin Hartley had 8 points for Mechanicsburg.
JH basketball
The WL-S 8th grade boys defeated Cedarville, 48-35. For the Tigers (2-1), Nick Burden had 14 points and Lance Baldwin and Jace Wade each had 11.
Indiana Lake beat Urbana, 33-29, in OT in 7th grade boys basketball.
For UJHS (2-3), Max Keely had 14 points and Aaron Norris added 10.
Indian Lake won the 8th grade game, 46-24. Landon Turner had 10 points for Urbana (0-5).
Graham downed Ben Logan, 30-28, in 8th grade girls basketball. Lexi King had 13 points for GJHS.
