MARYSVILLE – Graham’s championship wrestling march began over the weekend as the Falcons rolled to a championship at the Marysville Duals on Saturday.

Graham defeated Springboro, 78-6, Teays Valley, 70-6, Watkins Memorial, 66-6, Westerville Central, 81-0, and Marysville, 49-27.

Graham will next test its mettle at the Ironman tournament.

Jessy Reeder Memorial

SPRINGFIELD – The West Liberty-Salem wrestling team competed at the 2016 Jessy Reeder Memorial Dual Tournament Friday and Saturday at Northeastern High School.

For the Tigers, Tanner Workman won the 126-pound championship with an 8-0 record. Workman racked up 6 pins on his way to the title.

Isaac Lee placed 2nd at 220. Lee had 1 pin for the Tigers. Charlie Williams placed 3rd in the nine-team tournament with a 7-1 record including 6 pins. Zayne Reed finished the tournament with a 5-3 record with 2 pins. Ely Serna also scored bonus points for the Tigers with a pin.

West Liberty-Salem’s next competition is at Mechanicsburg High School on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
