Urbana girls fall at Ben Logan, 58-40

BELLEFONTAINE – Ben Logan defeated Urbana, 58-40, in CBC/MRD girls basketball on Monday.

For UHS (3-8, 1-3), Hunter Rogan had 15 points and 8 rebounds and Natalie Seeberg had 11 points and 6 rebounds.

Ben Logan won the jayvee game, 43-30, Marissa Horn had 15 points for Urbana.

Graham girls win

YELLOW SPRINGS – Graham beat winless Yellow Springs, 52-46, in non-league girls basketball on Monday.

For GHS, Taylor Gibson had 15 points and Bethany Horner added 12.

The Falcons (4-5) host Piqua on Wednesday.

Graham wrestlers in 1st place

FAIRBORN – The opening day of the GMVWA Holiday Wrestling Tournament closed on Monday with Graham in first place and Urbana in a tie for 9th in Divisions II and III.

Graham has 115.5 points while UHS has 42.5.

Still alive in the championship bracket for Graham are Jordan Crace (106 points), Jeffrey Thomas (113), Justin Stickley (120), Mitch Moore (126), Ryan Thomas (132), Brent Moore (138), Rocky Jordan (145), Garrett Jordan (160), Alex Marinelli (170) and Kavan Sarver (195).

Still alive for Urbana are Jaylin Cameron (120) and Jack Harris (195).

Action resumes here Tuesday at the Nutter Center.

Indians bowlers win

Mechanicsburg defeated Southeastern 2,597-966 in OHC girls bowling Monday. Katie Bush had a 211-224/435 series and Ally Hosier had a 227-173/400 series. Michaela Edwards had a 381 series and Lauren Mayberry added a 339. Miranda Keene had a 184 game and Jenna Alspaugh had a 149.

The boys also beat Southeastern, 2,979-1,984. Jake Ripley had a 256-276/532 series to power the Indians. Caleb Westfall added a 225-215/440, Preston Estep had a 225-205/430 and David McMahill rolled a 247-141/388. Cody Minor added a 212 game and Ross Parsons had a 146.

UHS schedule change

In a schedule change, the Urbana High School boys basketball team will host Greenon on Jan. 8 and play at Greenon on Feb. 12.
