KENT, Ohio – Multiple wins by seven different Buckeyes helped Ohio State pick up a pair of dual wrestling victories on Tuesday evening in the first Thanksgiving Throwdown, hosted at Kent State’s Memorial and Athletic Convention Center. The Buckeyes, ranked fourth in this week’s USA Today/NWCA Coaches Poll, improved to 3-0 on the season.

Graham High School graduate Micah Jordan (149 pounds), who came into Tuesday’s duals as the OSU team leader in wins (nine), bonus point wins (seven) and technical falls (four), added to all three of those categories.

Jordan scored a total of 44 points and won each of his bouts via technical fall. Jordan was a 26-6 winner over Tim Rooney of Kent State and followed that up with an 18-3 victory against Nick Montgomery of Cleveland State.
