WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. – Urbana University fell to West Liberty University, 100-49, in MEC women’s basketball on Monday.
WLU led, 18-8, at the end of the first quarter and 45-21 at the half.
For UU (2-2, 0-2), Danie Shafer had 12 points and Mikayla Ward added 10 points and 16 rebounds.
In the men’s game later Monday night, WLU prevailed, 132-97.
The home team led, 70-44, at the half.
For UU (2-3, 0-2), Carlas Jackson had 16 points.
WL-S falls in bowling
Southeastern beat WL-S, 2,035-1,976, in OHC boys bowling on Monday.
For the Tigers, Treven Marchal had a 164, Mike Price a 159, Isaac Riblet a 192, Hunter Smith a 138 and Logan Thompkins a 112.
