Yoder leads WL-S over Triad

WEST LIBERTY – Lily Yoder scored a game-high 18 points – including 4 treys – as West Liberty-Salem defeated Triad, 59-31, in OHC girls basketball on Thursday.

The Tigers led, 28-10, at the end of the first quarter and 49-21 at the half.

For WL-S (7-1, 6-0), Gabby Hollar and Taylor Lauck each had 12 points.

For Triad (2-6, 1-4), Alea Ferguson had 12 points and Jenna Ober had 10.

WL-S won the jayvee game, 31-8.

M’burg falls to Cedarville

CEDARVILLE – The Indians of Cedarville beat Mechanicsburg, 56-29, in OHC girls basketball on Thursday.

Cedarville jumped out to a 17-1 lead in the first quarter.

Elly Schipfer paced Mechanicsburg (2-5, 1-4) with 11 points.

Gibson paces Falcons

ST. PARIS – In Graham’s 37-32 win over Greenon in girls basketball on Wednesday, Taylor Gibson had 13 points, Bethany Horner had 10 points and Kari Smith added 11 rebounds for the Falcons.

Graham won the jayvee game, 34-11. Brooke Johannes had 16 points and Madi Vanscoy added 11 for the Falcons.

Junior high basketball

The Graham 7th grade boys beat Urbana, 57-15.

Cody Peterson had 7 points for UJHS. Graham stats were not reported.

Urbana’s 8th graders won, 40-37, to improve to 4-2.

Graham’s 7th grade girls defeated Urbana, 25-13. Lexi King had 8 points for Graham. Leading scorers for Urbana were not reported.

Graham’s 8th graders prevailed, 36-25.
