Fairbanks tops Mechanicsburg

MECHANICSBURG – Fairbanks defeated Mechanicsburg, 63-50, in non-league boys basketball on Tuesday.

The score was tied, 16-16, at the end of the first quarter and Fairbanks led, 32-25, at the half.

Fairbanks led, 47-39, at the end of three periods.

For the Indians, Mack Cushman had 16 points and Joey Butsch had 14.

Garrett Hutchins paced the Panthers with 19 points.

Xenia beats Graham

XENIA – Graham fell to Xenia, 91-50, in non-league boys basketball on Tuesday.

The Falcons trailed, 25-6, at the end of the first quarter and 48-17 at the intermission.

Andrew Ford paced Graham (1-5) with 15 points.

UHS boys win in bowling

Urbana beat Kenton Ridge, 2,976-2,471, in CBC boys bowling.

For the Hillclimbers (7-0), Skyler Reisinger had a 248-197, Luc Russell a 243-201, Kyle Schrader a 231-201, Kyle Beavers a 221-202 and Blaine Arms a 215-205.

The Urbana girls lost, 2,528-2,089.

For UHS (1-5), Paige Stokes had a 183-205, Brittany Gaver a 162-173 and Kayla Evans a 172.

WL-S girls fall

Greenon beat WL-S, 1,845-1,605, in non-league girls bowling.

Scores for the Tigers were Hailey Duncan: 100, Lauren Hostetler: 108, Taylor Loverde: 118-98 216 series, Hailee Clifford: 122-100 222 series, Rachel Larson: 110-136 246 series and Erica McCall: 187-120 307 series.

Calvary Christian beat WL-S, 1,951-1,692, in non-league girls bowling.

Scores for the Tigers were Hailee Clifford: 69, Lauren Hostetler: 100, Jillian Kirkham: 101, Ashlyn Parks: 103, Taylor Loverde: 108, Sarah Daulton: 114, Rachel Larson: 135-111 246 series, Erica McCall: 153-174 327 series.

The WL-S boys beat Greeneview, 2,469-1,442, in OHC bowling.

Scores for the Tigers were Gage Rudasill 193, Reese Shafer 211, Justin Salyers 174, Treven Marchal 204 and Brad Burt 176.
