WL-S splits with Southeastern in bowling

SPRINGFIELD – WL-S beat Southeastern, 1,624-1,515, in OHC girls bowling on Monday.

For the Tigers, Olivia Jacquemart had an 85, Jillian Kirkham an 89, Hailee Clifford a 97, Taylor Loverde a 99, Sarah Dalton a 113, Lauren Hostetler a 120, Rachel Larson a 115-138-253 and Erica McCall a 180-154-334.

Southeastern won the boys match, 2,051-1,813.

9th grade basketball

WL-S defeated Kenton, 33-25, in 9th grade boys basketball. For the Tigers, Dominic Blair had 10 points and Kasey Kite and Alex Fitzpatrick each had 7.

Junior high basketball

The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade boys basketball team improved to 3-0 overall with a 42-31 win over Greeneview.

Nick Burden paced the Tigers with 19 points and Kaden Burk added 10.

The WL-S 8th grade boys defeated, 41-17. Eli McGill led the scoring for the Tigers (3-0) with 10 points and Trevor Woodruff and Kenny Harr each had 9.

The Triad 7th grade girls beat Central, 48-6. For Triad (3-1), Cati LeVan had 17 points and Baylie Plank and Frani LeVan each added 10 points.

The Triad 8th grade girls lost, 39-4.

The Triad 7th grade boys beat Central, 32-20. Drew Campbell had 11 points and Wyatt Cave had 10 for Triad.

Triad’s 8th graders lost, 35-31. Dylan Nott had 11 points for Triad.

In 7th grade girls basketball, Tipp defeated Urbana, 45-15.

In 8th grade girls action, Tipp prevailed, 55-10.

In 7th grade girls basketball, Tipp defeated Graham, 50-16. Lexi King had 11 points for Graham.
