Tigers place third at Reynolds Invitational

BELLEFONTAINE – West Liberty-Salem played in the Ryan Reynolds Boys Golf Invitational at Liberty Hills and hosted by Bellefontaine.

The Tigers finished third with 309 strokes, one back of second-place Bellefontaine and 13 behind champion Butler (296).

For the Tigers, Kannon Stillings and Dillon Callicoat each shot 75. Logan Brown fired a 78, Max Eggleston shot 81, Tyler Gardner had a 90 and Michael Frederick shot 95.

“Kannon and Dillon finished strong after a sluggish start to the round,” WL-S Coach Darrin Leichty said. “It’s a good sign to see us be able to get contributions from all six players.”

For the jayvees, Patrick Harr shot 97, Michael Price had a 111, Kenny Harr shot 112 and Tucker Ridenbaugh recorded a 129.

WL-S beat visiting Southeastern, 161-179, in OHC boys golf on Friday.

For the Tigers (2-0 in the OHC), Callicoat had a 38, Stillings a 39, Eggleston a 40 and Frederick a 44.

For the Tiger jayvees, Kenny Harr had a 49 and Patrick Harr a 46.
