BELLEFONTAINE – West Liberty-Salem beat Northeastern, 153-177, in an Ohio Heritage Conference boys golf match.

“Even though this was our first league match, it was a very important one against the defending champs. Northeastern beat us by 13 strokes the day before at Darby Creek, so that really got our attention,” WL-S Coach Darrin Leichty said.

For the Tigers, Max Eggleston shot a 37 and Dillon Callicoat had a 38. Kannon Stillings shot 39 and Michael Frederick carded a career-best 39. Tyler Gardner had a 45 and Logan Brown rounded out the scoring for the Tigers.

WL-S is 1-0 in league play.
