Peterson shines in WL-S volleyball victory

WL-S defeated Greeneview, 25-10, 25-13, 25-11, on Thursday in OHC volleyball.

For the Tigers (18-4), Jamie Peterson had 18 kills, Tory Cordell had 8 kills, 3 ace serves and 3 total blocks, Kylie Gilroy had 4 ace serves, 5 kills and 24 assists, Regan Hormann had 3 ace serves and 2 total blocks, Kaylee Harrison had 3 ace serves and 2 kills and Kelby Strapp had 2 kills.

Peterson passed Ben Logan graduate Nicole Fawcett and moved into 13th on the state’s career kills list with 1,525.

WL-S’s jayvees won, 25-12, 25-20. Tyanna Seibert had 6 ace serves, 4 kills, 7 digs, and 9 assists, Leah Kauffman had 4 kills, Abby Dillon had 8 digs, Breann Koons had 3 kills, 7 digs and 9 assists, Arrah Sandy had 6 digs and Hallie Strapp had 7 kills and 11 digs.

Triad loses to Cedarville

Triad lost to Cedarville, 19-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-20, in OHC volleyball on Thursday.

For the Cardinals, Jenna Ober had 25 digs, Allyssa Eaton had 6 kills and 8 blocks and Madison Dolby added 12 assists.

Triad’s jayvee team won, 25-11, 20-25, 25-19.

For Triad (10-7, 10-4), Kristin Bailey had 12 points and 6 kills, Kaitlynn Pence had 4 solo blocks, Jennifer Sizemore had 10 digs and 7 points, Tori Thomas had 23 points and 5 aces and Victoria Ripley had 10 points.

Graham falls in soccer

ENON – Greenon defeated Graham, 2-0, in CBC/MRD girls soccer.

Junior high volleyball

The WL-S 8th graders beat Catholic Central, 25-12, 25-18.

Kennah Erwin had 4 kills and 5 aces, Ryleigh Johns added 3 aces and 3 assists, Alex Burton had 3 kills and 3 good serve receives and Savannah Irick had 3 good serve receives for WL-S.

The Tigers play in the OHC championship on Saturday at Greeneview at 11:15 a.m.

Triad K-6 signups

Parents of Triad students from kindergarten through 6th grades are encouraged to sign their child up for the Triad Junior Basketball Program at Triad Middle School on Oct. 27 or Oct. 28 from 5-7:30 p.m. The cost is $20 per student; however, students who miss the sign-up dates may be subjected to a late fee.
