Urbana, Ben Logan play to 1-1 tie

Urbana and Ben Logan played to a 1-1 tie Monday night in CBC girls soccer.

Trailing 1-0 in the first half, Urbana’s Maegan Cordell scored a goal assisted by Jennifer Tracy and Kinleigh White at 21:43.

Urbana Sara Lingrell had 7 saves in goal for the Hillclimbers.

WL-S boys tie Chieftains

WL-S and Bellefontaine played to a 1-1 tie in non-league boys soccer on Saturday.

Cole McDaniel scored from a Jacob VanHorn assist for the Tigers to go ahead with 15 minutes left in the match.

At the 7 minute mark, Aaron Wisner tied the game for the Chieftains.

Elias Kirker-Napiorkowski had 7 saves in goal for WL-S.

The WL-S jayvee boys soccer team defeated Indian Lake, 5-1. Scoring for the Tigers were Bishop Williamson (2) while Logan Cole, Van Horn and Hayden Hosteler each added one goal. Connor Motzko and Williamson each had one assist.

Zane Woodruff had 3 saves in goal for the Tigers.

WL-S wins in volleyball

WL-S defeated Northeastern, 26-24, 22-25, 25-17, 25-20, in OHC volleyball on Monday.

For the Tigers (12-3), Jamie Peterson had 34 kills, 6 total blocks and 13 digs, Kylie Gilroy had 48 assists, 4 total blocks and 5 ace serves, Olivia Ames had 13 digs and 30 serve receptions, Emily Schultz had 15 digs, Autumn Walborn had 11 kills and Tory Cordell had 6 kills and 2 total blocks.

Mechanicsburg beats Triad

Mechanicsburg defeated Triad, 20-25, 25-23, 28-26, 25-21, in OHC volleyball on Monday.

For the Indians (8-4, 6-3), Katie Bush had 28 assists, 13 kills and 7 digs, Emma Dunham had 10 kills and 10 blocks and Callie Kaiser added 12 digs.

For the Cardinals, Jenna Ober had 17 digs, Madison Dolby had 16 kills and 13 assists, Allyssa Eaton had 9 kills and 3 blocks and Brianna Eaton added 4 kills and 4 blocks.

Triad (3-10) plays at Greeneview on Thursday.

Triad’s jayvees won, 25-23, 25-21. For Triad (6-6, 6-3), Jennifer Sizemore had 4 kills and 10 assists, Kayleigh Rice had 11 digs, 9 points and 2 aces, Tori Thomas had 15 points, Kristin Bailey had 6 points and Kiki Zizzo had 6 points.

WL-S’s jayvee football team won, 24-12, on Saturday.

Junior high volleyball

The WL-S 7th graders beat Greeneview, 25-17, 21-25, 25-11. Olivia Muirhead had 16 aces and 1 assist, Kayleigh Wilcox added 4 aces and Selena Weaver added 2 kills for the Tigers.

The WL-S 8th graders won, 25-19, 25-15. Ryleigh Johns had 7 aces and 3 assists, Kennah Erwin added 3 good serve receives and 2 kills, Alex Burton had 6 kills and 5 aces and Sydnee Payer added 3 kills and 3 good serve receives.
